Life is considerably better than it has been in the past 4 semesters. I'm finally starting to socialize. I've also started writing a little bit, and I hope that I'll find the motivation to post some of it up here.

I saw "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People" last night. It was...surprisingly not bad. There were definite gross-out moments, and it was a little predictable, but funny. After that, I went to Amanda's (after a quick stop off for some ice cream) and I got to see the first episode of Torchwood...let's just say I'm completely hooked and can't wait for more. I saw Igor last week, and I'm hoping to go see Wanted next week, and maybe some more Torchwood.

I'm going home in two weeks, which is even better, but it will only be for a couple of days that I'm sure will be extremely busy.

As usual, I'm working at the writing center and tutoring. As usual, I prefer tutoring to the WC. I've already had quite a few WTF moments at the WC, but since there isn't a privacy setting here, it's best not to mention them. I'll try to post them in my LJ--most of you are friends with me on there too.

I'm supposed to be cleaning my room. Well, not supposed to. I wanted to. I still want to, and I've been randomly picking up clothes and newspapers (I get a newspaper every day, and they pile up..at least I recycle them, right?) and such. I also need to do my homework and start studying for my tests. I have to watch "Definitely, Maybe" tonight too....I'm still not sure why I'm willing to spend $3.99 per movie rental when I can get movies at the library for free, but perhaps its because the library's selection sucks, as does their book selection. But I do need to catch up on my books. I'm pretty sure there have been at least two releases I missed--Dresden Files and L.A. Banks, and two of Jacqueline Carey's books.


oh! for those who haven't heard, Eoin Colfer is going to pick up and continue the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. The 6th book is going to be called "And Another Thing..." --If you don't know who Eoin Colfer is, its because he writes kids books (the Artemis Fowl series, among others. Good books). I'm not sure how I feel about his continuing the series, but I hated the end of the 5th book.


I'm now completely hooked on the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Sexy dead men, sexy weres, Greek gods, and magic: What more could you possibly want?


And now, having said probably more than necessary, I am off to go force myself to do things I won't enjoy. [cleaning, homework, etc.]
